Beware ! Kids running around !

Just returned home after attending a Ist year Birthday party of my neighbour's son. I hardly speak to them, except for a few hi's that we exchanged whenever taking out or parking the vehicles in....

We were supposed to go at 7. Mom wasn't at home, and I would never even dream of attending functions without them....else will feel really lost...!!!
Anyways, Mom came back at 8, and then after picking up a "baby gift"(dont know as to what that means..!!!) we headed off to the place where the function or party rather, was supposed to be held.

Acquaintances that they are...so what else to expect when you enter the room....atleast the ladies greet and talk about something and as you know, once they start.....THEY NEVER STOP...!!! And there I was like a complete moron, looking so lost.....

The point is when I was having food there, I was watching these small little kids playing around with the decorations that were done to the hall. Hitting the baloon hard, trying to make it touch the ceiling....and running behind other kids......
Man.! This is the thing I fear the most. I ll tell you why. Once I was in some marraige function and a little group of kids were running around the hall, having absolutely no idea as to where their hands would be swinging, and as you might have guessed by now, somebody got a hurt real bad..!!!(Damn it, not me...!!!) I saw that "uncle" getting hit right on the target, and the kid who hit him had no idea as to what he had just done....But this was like a nightmare to me, though I didnt experience the "blow", the mere sight made me feel so sad for that "uncle". So, kids running around the hall? Try stay away from the absurd "routes" that they make, else make sure that you are "well protected"...!!!! Laugh all you want, but once you experience it or when you get the oppurtunity to watch someone "getting hurt", then you ll come to know, what I am trying to mean....!!!

Comming back to the reason for this blog, is that, I became kinda nostalgic for a few minutes watching those kids play. One of those cute kids wore a cute little suit, which was like a 3 peice thingy..... damn nice. It reminded me of MY first suit which I got when I was in 6th or 7th Std., wearing the dress to school, man!,what a feeling...!!!

Gone are those days. And now, we all spend our birthdays with more of the getting hit by the gang that we hangout frequently and later on having to treat the same guys who hit you so bad...!!! What a way to celebrate one's birthday...!!! Dont know as to why the hell attending a Birthday party made me scribble so much of nonsense! Atleast I am pretty sure that it has provided the readers with a note of caution as to be aware when kids running around the hall....!!!!

how is it that you post things only when you become nostalgic?

@Jamal:
Thanks macha...!!!

@Hemanth:
Lo, dabba nan magne, I would have definitely told if I MYSELF had "experienced" it. But gods grace....didnt...!!!

@Nikki:
Yea, I agree that there is a tinge of Sentimental stuff in THIS post,but this was not what I had actually intended to write about. The Uncle getting hurt got in the post, and it changed the name and the entire context as well...

@Benki Man:
Nothing like I post stuff when I become nostalgic. Most of the time its the lack of time or patience. Else I chuck the idea of posting an entry thinking it is not worth to be put up.!

maga i still remember the suit that you had at that time, i never had one and my dad never bought me one. i still donthave one, but obviously my feelings toward the same have changed. i was in full awe when you wore that to school, i being one of your best friends at that time, felt it a great event that you were wearing the suit. it was like i was showing you off to all the people around, i felt proud to be walking next to you.... hmmmm those were the days... if i remember right you had a black bow tie with a grey suit kind of thing, well that i swhats stuck in the memory!! :-)

Oye maga !
Yup, I still remember that day in bits. You n me walking around....the suit was one thing that I hadn't expected, but I guess it looked pretty expensive to be wearing it to a school.
Those were the days maga....!!!
(btw, you still remember the "pants" that only me n you wore to class ? ;-) )
